Psychiatry & Behavioral Health
Our Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP) also known as (NPs, Nurse Practitioners, Med Managers) provide Psychopharmacology Treatment which is the service of psychiatric mental health assessment, diagnosis, prescription of medication, recommendations and follow up care.
Medications help to treat the symptoms of mental health disorders which makes it easier for individuals to focus on the therapeutic aspects of treatment. While medications do not cure a disorder, when combined with psychotherapy, they can help individuals get back to their highest level of functioning.
Our therapists have the ability to diagnose, assess, and treat mental and behavioral health conditions. Psychotherapy is a form of talk therapy that helps people manage, cope, and work through their mental illnesses and emotional difficulties. Psychotherapy can help people learn techniques to decrease their symptoms in order to improve functioning and enhance their life. Therapy can be used to help individuals, families, couples, or in group settings and both children and adults can benefit. Usually therapy will start out with one session a week, anywhere between 30-60 mins. Our standard is 60 min appointments.
